So as I was developing this software my entire goal was to make it efficient. The Waste Management Industry have to track thousands of people, places, equipment and money. So my goal was for the user to be able to get where they needed to go in 2 clicks or 2 seconds or less. So no matter what the manager was looking for or trying to do they can do it in 2 seconds.
With this goal in mind I realized that the search feature was everything to a manager. They had to find what they were looking for fast. That being said, if they only had a piece of information then the software had to help them find what they need. If they had to page through several pages or documents then the software would not be manageable.
So there were times when a manger just needed to find a check number like 333. They do not want dumpster 333 or invoice 333 to show up in this specific search. This is why we created the "Mega Search" page. The mega search page narrows the search down to different types of criteria. So for example if you are looking for a user and only know a few letters of their name the program will find everyone in the system that has those letters. If you only know a portion of their street address or street name you can search for the users like that as well. Again once you log into the system you are only 2 clicks or 2 seconds from finding what you need.
If you are looking for a user that was adding during a specific date range just pick the dates and instantly find them. If you are looking for an invoice amount, invoice number, check number all of this is possible to do quickly even if you only know a few digits.
Once you set a customer up then you do not even have to think about creating them invoices manually. The system creates them all for you. Even if those invoices are different amounts for different customers. And then, for your routes, you can set thousands of customers up in seconds! Then let the software do the rest!
So another thing that makes this so efficient is the ability to let your clients pay online. This is a huge time savings! However, we know that there are lots of customers that still want to pay with a check. Marking the customer paid for their invoice is a 2 click and 2 second job literally! OH and the best part, if the customer pays online you pass all the fees off to your customer so you lose no money at all for having an online payment process.
Every invoice has a QR code on it if you mail invoices out to your customer. The customer does not even have to be logged into the system to scan the QR code and pay you!
Printing invoices and envelopes just got easier as well. You can mass print out all your invoices and they have the customers name an address right in those window envelopes. So you can take advantage of that time savings as well. Or if you wish to print every envelope you can mass print those as well. Additionally you can mass print address labels. It is totally up to you. However, the most efficient way when it comes to printing and mailing are those window envelopes.
The customers that have an email entered into the system can go paperless. Then you do not even have to print out those invoices or envelopes altogether! WOW what a time saver.
Finding the people who owe you money is 1 click once you log into the system! Finding out how much money people owe you in total is 2 clicks. Additionally you are given a report every morning to your email about this information!
Ever wonder how much money each route generates you? You are only 1 click away from that information! In fact not only that but you can see the weekly, monthly and yearly gross of each route. Then you can see the grand total of everything, yes, with only 1 click!
Oh you want to know where dumpster 109 is? You are one click away from that as well. In fact you can see an entire map of your local area and find out where all your equipment is. Trucks, Dumpsters or anything that you entered into the equipment section!
You are 1 click away from adding people, places, equipment and 2 clicks for money! It is really that easy!
