In certain situations, there are messages that require immediate attention and have a higher level of importance. For example, a customer may call last minute and request an additional pickup while the driver is already on the route. Alternatively, a customer might report that their house was missed by the driver. To address these critical scenarios, our application provides an Alert System integrated with the messaging service.

When an alert is sent, the driver receives a notification. The driver receives a email message informing them about the alert, ensuring prompt awareness of the urgent message. Within the application, the alert message is highlighted in red, drawing the driver's attention and signaling its significance. To proceed with any other tasks within the app, the driver must first acknowledge the alert.

By clicking the acknowledge button, the driver confirms that they have seen and acknowledged the alert. This action triggers a notification to the dispatcher, providing information on when and where the driver accessed the message. This ensures that the dispatcher is informed about the driver's acknowledgment, facilitating effective coordination and follow-up actions.

The combination of email notifications, visual indicators, and acknowledgment process ensures that urgent messages are promptly received, acknowledged, and communicated between drivers and dispatchers.
